"I called them right after I left the doctor's office." She sighed. "They wanted to me to come home, I think they still do, but I told them I had to finish the show. Which I do, but...New York's my home, you know?" She slides out of the booth. "And I'm an adult. I can't go running home everytime is something goes wrong." She heads out of the diner with him. "How many classes do you have today?"
