He offers to try for the week, but Rachel just shakes her head. What would be the point in that? She works during the week, and she could take the week off too, but if they're trying to have a baby, why take off unnecessary time and lose pay? He can get paid vacation, but she can't and there's never enough income to raise a child. "Don't worry about it. Just try for Monday."
The phone in ringing again and Rachel sighs, sliding off of his lap. He's at work, and hasn't officially taken a break, so he should probably do one or the other before he gets in trouble for neglecting his job. "I can't stay long...but I can run across the street and get dinner?" The Thai across the street is actually pretty good.
